Meal-times are special occasions at Silver Birch every day. We have a fully trained chef and catering team, providing locally-sourced, fresh, seasonal food – all prepared freshly on-site. Residents may choose from our extensive menu, including any particular favourites they may request. We cater for all dietary requirements whether it is medically required or by preference. The meals can be taken at our luxurious dining rooms or in the room if you do not fancy company on a particular day. All we want to ensure is that you enjoy your meals and drink plenty of fluids to stay healthy.

Our chef ensure that residents enjoy nutritious and delicious choices at every meal, from the option of a cooked breakfast each morning through to a three-course main meal every day. Finger foods can be requested at any time of the day or night and we would be happy provide them.

Our chef will be one of the first people to meet your loved one when they move into Silver Birch. The chef will be keen to learn all about your loved one’s unique dietary needs and favourite foods (as well as the things they do not like) so we can make sure that there will always be plenty on the menu to tempt them. Our specially designed dining rooms help our residents to:

We will support you to get the day off to a great start with the option of a cooked breakfast selection served at a time that suits you. We offer a range of crockery and cutlery options that will enable you to maintain your independence and enjoyment of food whatever your needs – though you will always have the option of assistance should you need it.

Our catering staff love to prepare sweet treats for morning coffee or afternoon tea. From birthdays and anniversaries to events such as Easter, there is always an excuse to produce fun or festive foods for residents to enjoy. Residents also get to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Baking is a popular activity at Silver Birch.

The Railway Tavern, our fully licensed bar and bistro, on the first floor is open from mid-morning to evening to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer (non-alcoholic options available) and to have a snack with your family and friends.
